Insulation in Tooele, UT
We insulate homes and buildings across Tooele County — attics, walls, crawl spaces and metal buildings. Tooele winters are cold and the summers are dry and hot, and most of the heat moving through your house is moving through gaps you can't see.

What we install
Every job starts the same way — we find where the air is actually moving before we recommend anything. Adding insulation on top of an air leak mostly just buries the problem.
Blown-in fiberglass or cellulose over a properly air-sealed attic floor. The highest-return insulation work in most Tooele houses.
Sealing top plates, can lights, chases and penetrations before insulating. This is the step that gets skipped, and it's the step that matters most.
Open-cell and closed-cell. Insulation and air barrier in one product — useful in rim joists, vaulted ceilings and irregular cavities.
Injection foam and dense-pack for existing walls, drilled from outside or in. For finished walls that were never insulated or were done poorly.
Rim joists leak more air per square foot than almost anywhere else in a house. Cold floors usually start here.
Vacuum removal of old, wet, compacted or rodent-contaminated material. Sometimes what's up there has to come out before anything goes back in.
Shops, barns and outbuildings around Erda, Rush Valley and Grantsville. Condensation control matters as much as R-value in a metal building.
Light commercial, multifamily and builder work across Tooele County, scheduled around your trades.
Why Tooele houses lose heat
Cold winters, hot dry summers
Tooele Valley sits in a cold climate zone with a wide daily temperature swing. Insulation that's merely adequate somewhere milder underperforms here in both directions.
Two very different housing stocks
Older brick and bungalow homes near downtown often have uninsulated walls and open crawl spaces. Newer tract homes in Stansbury Park and Erda usually have batts that were installed fast and compressed.
Stack effect
Warm air rises and escapes through the attic, pulling cold air in low. That's why your floors are cold and your upstairs is stuffy at the same time — it's one problem, not two.
Common questions
What does insulation cost in Tooele?
It scales with the size of the space, how much material is already there, and whether anything has to come out first. Blown-in attic work is generally the least expensive per square foot and spray foam the most. Every house is different — we'll look at it and put together a clear, itemized bid before you commit to anything.
Do I have to remove my old insulation first?
Not always. If the existing material is dry, clean and undamaged, we can usually add on top of it. If it's wet, moldy, compacted flat or contaminated by rodents, it needs to come out — adding new material over a problem like that traps it.
Are there rebates for insulation in Utah?
Rocky Mountain Power and Dominion Energy Utah have both run home energy efficiency programs that can apply to attic insulation and air sealing. Program details and funding change, so we'd check what's currently open when we come out.
How long does the work take?
Most attic jobs are a single day. Wall injection and larger spray foam work can run longer, and removal adds a day on the front end. We'll give you a realistic schedule with the bid, not an optimistic one.
